The Tachikawa Calligraphy Nib Type C - Set of 2 is the classic choice for traditional Western calligraphy. Type C is a flat (chisel) nib, similar to Type A, but ground specifically for a smoother, more flowing writing experience. It is the most versatile nib for anyone learning cursive and italic styles.

Type C creates the characteristic thick-and-thin effect (ribbon-like strokes): broad on downstrokes and narrow on side strokes. The corners are slightly softer than those of the square-cut Type A, allowing the nib to glide more smoothly over the paper when forming rounded letters.

These nibs are the standard choice for Italic script, Roman lettering, and Uncial. They give writing an elegant, handwritten appearance associated with classic certificates, manuscripts, and invitations.
