Diamine released in 2023 their unique Inkvent Purple Edition Advent Calendar. This advent calendar contained 25 doors, and behind each door was a pot of ink in a unique color developed for this calendar. All colors were newly developed and contain ink in varying color compositions: some inks are standard inks, other inks contain shimmer ink, sheen ink or a combination of both. For 2024, Diamine has decided, partly based on the success of the calendar, to also sell the colors separately. All colors are available at PenStore. The inks come in a beautiful, unique ink pot and give the ink extra allure.

Diamine Inkvent Shimmering ink is available in a wide range of beautiful colors with magical properties! Once dry on paper, they reveal their special properties. The mother-of-pearl effect sparkles in a wide variety of colours and takes handwriting to a new level of sophistication. 

For best results, use a thicker writing pen that deposits a lot of ink, such as a medium or broad nib. In addition, the paper you apply the ink to is an important factor: the paper must be heavy enough to withstand the ink. If the ink is absorbed by the paper, the ink will only have a shimmering (glitter) effect and not a sheen (glossy) effect. The ink must lie on the surface to be able to reflect the light. Chameleon ink is a special type of shimmering ink: the shimmering effect is brighter and changes color depending on the angle of light.
